We are an online English academy specialized in individual teaching.

We work with children and teenagers aged 4 to 18 in an annual format. We don’t just teach them to speak English – we also make sure they keep up at school so that English class is no longer a worry.

We want to be transparent: we know that we are not the right solution for everyone. We completely understand that for many families, prioritising their investment in language education or looking for more affordable options is simply a reality.

Extracurricular activities are a significant expense for any family. At Hello & Hola, the value of our lessons reflects the standard of quality, personalised attention, and dedication we provide to every student.

We are not trying to be a solution for everyone. However, the families who choose to take that step often stay with us for years. For us, there is no greater proof of the value we provide than being able to support our students from childhood all the way into adulthood. 💛

Knowing English isn’t about getting a language certificate. In fact, many people hold certificates yet are unable to use the language in real-life situations. Learning English isn’t about that. It’s about expanding your world: gaining access to ideas, knowledge, and opportunities that would otherwise be completely out of reach.

“Cognitive learning,” “the direct method,” “the flipped classroom”… The language-learning industry is full of labels that sound impressive, but in reality, they are often little more than educational jargon or marketing strategies designed to sound more persuasive.

Many people don’t even have a clear idea of what “cognitive learning” actually means in practice. We don’t see the need to tie ourselves to one particular method. The truth is, there’s little point in claiming that one teaching method is better than another.

In real-life teaching, all of these approaches are used — some simply more than others depending on the learning objectives, the student’s age, and even their personality.

Finding the right person for our students is no small matter. We ensure that each student is assigned a teacher who is well-suited to their age, level, personality, goals, and stage of development.

Who we are?

Laura & Jack [Co-Founders] We are experienced educators with additional training in Design and Mentoring. Both of us have experienced firsthand the process of mastering a second language, and we know exactly where traditional teaching falls short.

We created Hello & Hola to open up a different category of learning with a clear objective: to combine high-level structure with a natural ability to connect with children and teenagers, teaching them to think, communicate, and navigate the world with confidence.

What we do?

We accompany each student from September to June, with the same teacher throughout the entire school year. Each student works according to a plan adapted to their pace, personality, and needs. Parents receive progress reports and have direct contact with the teacher.

The priority is real linguistic competence; exam preparation is incorporated only when the certificate serves a specific function (studies or work). We prepare the student for the right exam only if that clear goal exists. Until then, we develop their real command of the language.

How we do?

Everything starts with a conversation with the family. We agree on a day and time for a video call with you. We listen to your needs, concerns, and the reasons why you want your son or daughter to learn English. We also ask about their current and past experience with the language, both inside and outside of school.

Then we meet your child. We talk, do some activities together, and assess their real level. Only then do we design a personalized learning plan, adapted to their starting point and the goals you want to achieve.
